I always have a camera with me and take pictures every day. The subject matter varies; whatever catches my attention. When I am ready to start a new painting, I review my images and choose one that will make an interesting composition while telling a story. I love the challenge of painting fine detail and realism. I try to challenge myself by including difficult elements in each painting as I strive to improve my skills as an artist. For me, watercolor is a magical process as the drawn image is transformed with beautiful pigments and thousands of brushstrokes into a painting.
